NO PANTS SUBWAY RIDE 2020 NYC

Every year hundreds of New Yorkers participate in the “No Pants Subway Ride Prank”, organized by the local organization Improv Everywhere. The event which originally started out with just 7 New Yorkers is now a global. The 2020 No Pants Subway Ride Pranks has gone international including the proper English translation of “No Trousers Tube Ride” for our friends across the pond. Though I’ve been in NYC for the last 20+ years this is my first time attending the event. (And no i didn’t go pantsless. lol)

The attendees got a blessing this year, given its usually below 30 degrees. This winter we’ve been hit with some unbelievably warm weather. So the pantsless straphangers got to shower of the best undergarments in almost 70-degree weather. I guess this might be the warmest day in the event’s history. The event was interesting, to say the least with lots of weird guys taking cellphone pics from very questionable low angles 🤔, but i can say its overall great. Checkout out my photoset below from this year’s prank.

Spike Lee throws Brooklyn Block Party celebrating 30th anniversary of Iconic film ”Do The Right Thing”

Do The Right Thing Way, became official back in July of 2015 and is the official location for Spike Lee's annual Block Party! Spike makes it a point to return to the very location where he filmed the thought-provoking story some 30 years ago. DTRT like so many of Spike’s other films tells the story of the Brooklynites and the Greater Black Community.

Spike Brought out several guest throughout the 7-hour event including his castmates from the film Rosie Perez and Giancarlo Esposito , as well Les Twins, Public Enemy, and many others! I did spend much time at the gathering as I has to hit another event afterwards but I did manage to capture some really great photos! You can check out my full gallery below! My favorite shots have to be the dance battle that broke out during DJ Spinna’s set.

Known for his provocative commentary and is often called a white supremacist and rape-apologist by activists. Demonstrators called for direct action to prevent Cernovich from speaking at the Columbia campus. A large number of demonstrators present during the demonstration were students of the prestigious University. The protesters were not able to disrupt Cernovich's speaking engagement but a few demonstrators were able to make it through the lobby to confront Cernovich during the event. Local police ultimately ended up allowing Cernovich to escape through a side door at Lerner Hall escaping hundreds of protesters looking to confront the alt-right personality.
